Keiko Takamura

Born in Tokyo, Japan. 

KeikoTakamura studied photography in various workshops.  

She photographs especially plants 

with film cameras, develops the pictures and prints them on baryta photographic paper in the darkroom, being mostly fascinated by harmonious gradation of monochrome /black-and-white photography with its fine particles. 

For her, working in the darkroom is an absolutely necessary process : 

It is like moisturizing, hydrating "her" plants.
